For Monday, March 26:
Read Cinthia Ozick's personal essays "North" and "The Snail's Seam". Think of these essays in terms of Voice; in your thinking go back through the essays and draw out elements that you think help compose Ozick's "voice." For example, the fact that she is a woman is just one element of her voice.
Writing Assignment Due Monday:
In about 1 page double spaced create your own essay of "voice." You may chose to do either an essay of place, such as Ozick presents in "North", or you may do an essay of family, such as we read in "The Snail's Seam".
