Important Information Regarding Final Papers, Conferencing, And Blogs

Dear class,

As our semester draws to a close I want to relate and reiterate important information on what it will take for you to complete the course work for this class.

First, for your convenience, and if you were not in class on Monday, April 24, I will now post a time line of events that will take us to the end of the semester.

Wednesday, April 25: Watching “Waking Life” in class, turn in the rough draft of your final papers, sign up for “optional” conferencing.

Friday, April 27: Watch and discuss “Waking Life” in class, make sure you’ve turned in the rough draft of your final papers.

Monday, April 30: CLASS CANCELED, Conference Day. I can be located in my office from 10am to 2pm.

Tuesday, May 1: Conference day. I can be located in my office from 10am to 2pm.

Wednesday, May 2: Conference day. CLASS CANCELED. I can be located in my office from 8am to 11am. From 11am to 12pm (class hours) I will be our regular classroom with your rough draft papers to give back to you or answer any questions you may have.

Friday, May 4: LAST DAY OF CLASS. You MUST by in class on this day for two important reasons. #1, hand in the final copy of your final papers; unless the situation is urgent, I will only accept a printed copy of your final paper, no emails. #2, Class evaluations.

Monday, May 7: FINALS WEEK. You have until midnight on this day to get your blogs into me. I will start reading blogs at this time, so anything submitted after May 7 will not be accepted for credit.

MORE INFO ON BLOGS

Below in my blog are the official requirements for your blogs. I want to restate how IMPORTANT it is for your blog to be linked on my blog in the right hand gutter. If your blog is not linked there, OR, if your blog cannot be accessed for whatever reason (security level is set to private, Livejournal and Myspace users need to check this) it will not be graded. So, please, double check your blog and make sure it is listed and accessable. If you use Myspace or Livejournal I recomend you try and access your blog from a campus computer to make sure any-old-Joe like me can read it.

I appreciate this very much.

w.
